The Glory of Books

I almost can't wait until technology has taken the great leap from one threshold to the next, forgetting tangible books at the doorway. At that point, people will begin appreciating them again, like record collectors or comic book readers. There is something mysterious about a books life. They age. They even smell different as they age.
Opening a book is like opening a bottle of wine at times, since you can distinctly tell a books age and print paper type based solely alone on the smell. There is the feel too, of course. Some are thin and delicate like the frail wrist of a saint, others are tougher than an Australian dollar.
Check out these amazingly beautiful covers of the Great Gatsby, showcased from The Fox is Black, HERE. _____________________________________________________
