Rarely is there a hair salon that grabs my attention to the point of writing about it. Watermelon Sugar, the new SACHAJUAN concept Salon in San Francisco, is just as beautiful to walk into as you feel walking out of. The ambiance is that of a upper class tavern in the middle of a forest, somewhere exclusive that people don't simply stroll into based on it being a generic option. However, those who do happen upon this city jewel are indeed amongst the lucky risk-takers of the bay area. I certainly know it can be overwhelmingly difficult finding a quality hair salon, but for those living in the BART-friendly regions of SF, that search may have just come to a solid close.

I have had the pleasure of getting my hair styled by the owner himself, Nick St. Mary, and he is seriously gifted with a pair of scissors.
